Brad Durham, right, hugged Randall Cobb after Cobb scored a touchdown against Mississippi State.

Brad Durham is one of 16 seniors who will be honored during their final game at Commonwealth Stadium on Saturday. Durham is also the only senior departing from an offensive line that has had a solid, if not outstanding, 2010 campaign. Durham, a native of Rockcastle County, originally committed to Louisville but had his scholarship rescinded by then-U of L coach Bobby Petrino. Kentucky immediately stepped in and scooped up Durham, who will be making his 16th career start against Vanderbilt.

Q: What's it going to be like playing your last game at Commonwealth?

A: It's going to be a great day for me ... . It means a lot to me to be able to come out on the field in front of the crowd and play one last time for my family. I'm just going to go out and try and play mistake-free and have the best game of my career.

Q: Now that your UK career is almost over, what do you think when you look back at the U of L situation?

A: I don't regret anything that ever happened. I just take it for what it is. Things turned out for the best, and everything happens for a reason. I can truly say I can end my career without any regrets.

Q: The folks in Rockcastle County have really embraced your career, haven't they?

A: People call me every day and wish me luck and all that stuff. A lot of people look up to me back home, especially with it being Big Blue Nation down there. It just means a lot to me to have played in Blue and going out the way I am.

Q: What are your plans after the season ends?

A: I'm an agricultural-economics major and minor in business. After this semester, I'll only have 12 hours left.

If football doesn't work out, I'll finish up my degree and get a job somewhere and move on with the next chapter of my life.

Q: No coaching?

A: I would like to try it, but it's not one of my main priorities. I can't stand teaching kids. I don't have the patience. It would be nice to go back home and help out with the high school or something, but I don't plan on getting real big into coaching.

Q: The O-line will return everybody except you next season. How good can they be?

A: Sometimes I wish I was coming back another year just to play with these guys. They're going to have a real good offensive line. They'll have camaraderie, which is what you've got to have on the offensive line.

They'll be able to take it to another level next year.
