Brother of Kentucky QB commits to Cats

Defensive end Langston Newton, the brother of University of Kentucky quarterback Morgan Newton, committed to the Wildcats on Thursday via Twitter.

The 6-foot-5, 240-pound prospect out of Carmel, Ind., also had offers from Marshall, Purdue, Miami (Ohio) and Indiana. Newton is rated a three-star prospect.

Newton is the fourth player to commit to the Cats this week and the 17th so far for the class of 2012.
