University of Kentucky spokesman Tony Neely confirmed late Wednesday night that wide receivers coach Tee Martin is leaving Kentucky to take the same job at the University of Southern California.

In a text, Neely said, "The landscape has changed. Coach Martin is confirming that he has taken the job."

Not only did Martin tell Ben Jones of Cats Illustrated that he took the job, but also Matt Barkley, USC's starting quarterback, tweeted "Excited to welcome @TeeMartin17 to the Trojan Family as our new WR coach! Gonna be a great year!."

Martin, who quarterbacked Tennessee to the 1998 national championship, joins Lane Kiffin's staff after two years at Kentucky. He was hired at UK to replace Joker Phillips, who coached the wide receivers before being promoted to head coach
