Memorial service for former UK player Dallas Owens will be Friday night in Nicholasville

Funeral arrangements have been set for former University of Kentucky football player Dallas E. Owens Jr., 56, who died Sunday at Lexington Country Place.

Mr. Owens was a wide receiver for Lafayette High School who played a key role during UK's 1977 season before going on to a career in the finance industry.

Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Wellington Church, 3224 Lexington Road, Nicholasville. A memorial service will begin at 7 p.m.

Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home in Versailles is in charge of arrangements.
