Tickets available starting next week for UK football spring game

The University of Kentucky football team’s Blue-White Spring Game, set for noon April 16 at Commonwealth Stadium, will be a ticketed event, the school announced Tuesday.

UK did not hold a spring game last season because of renovations taking place at Commonwealth Stadium.

Seating in the lower level will be reserved, and seating in the upper level (200-level sections) will be general admission. The north upper level general admission area (sections 201-211) will be open. The south upper level general admission area (sections 221-231) will be open based on demand.

Special availability for football season ticket holders for the free tickets will begin at 9 a.m. Monday. Current season ticket holders will receive an email this week detailing how they may obtain up to eight tickets at Ticketmaster.com, by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000 and in person at Tickemaster outlets in Kentucky. Tickets are free, but there is a small service charge for each one.

UK students may obtain free tickets beginning at 9 a.m. Monday at the Joe Craft Center ticket office. Students may pick up two tickets per ID.

Remaining tickets will be available to the general public through the same Ticketmaster channels beginning at 9 a.m. March 14.

Tickets still available on game day may be picked up free at the stadium ticket office.
