With dozens of college scholarship offers already earned and more likely to come in the near future, Lafayette offensive lineman Jedrick Wills went ahead and named the top 10 schools in his recruitment Tuesday.

Wills — a 6-foot-4, 315-pound offensive tackle — is now considering Kentucky, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana State, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Tennessee.

Florida State, Louisville and South Carolina were among the schools that extended scholarship offers but did not make Wills’ top 10 list.

Rivals.com ranks the Lexington native as the No. 3 offensive tackle and No. 16 overall player in the class of 2017, and he’s UK’s top remaining target in what is shaping up as another stellar recruiting class for Mark Stoops and his coaching staff.

The Wildcats’ 12-player class is ninth nationally and No. 3 in the SEC — behind only Alabama and Georgia — according to the latest team rankings from Rivals.com.

Wills has attended several UK home games and on-campus recruiting events over the past couple of years, and he’s a friend and high school teammate of Walker Wood, who has already committed to UK for next year. Wills is also a friend and former teammate of five-star offensive lineman Landon Young, who will be a freshman at UK this fall.

While many recruiting analysts consider the Wildcats to be the team to beat for Wills’ commitment, 247Sports national director of recruiting Steve Wilfong predicted Monday that Notre Dame would ultimately land the talented lineman.

Wills is planning to visit several college campuses this summer.
