Kentucky’s football season opener set for night kickoff
The University of Kentucky will open the 2016 college football season with a night game.
The Wildcats’ game against Southern Mississippi on Sept. 3 at Commonwealth Stadium has been scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. It will be televised nationally on ESPNU.
The kickoff time for Kentucky’s third game of the season was also locked in on Tuesday. The Wildcats will host New Mexico State on Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. That game will be shown on one of the SEC Network’s alternate channels.
