Positive Crystal Ball picks for Kentucky basketball
Kentucky continues to get some good news on the Crystal Ball pages over at 247Sports.
A few days after new 247Sports national analyst Eric Bossi used his first Crystal Ball pick to log a pro-Kentucky prediction for five-star point guard Hunter Sallis, longtime 247Sports analyst Jerry Meyer has done the same, picking the Wildcats for Sallis, who is ranked as the No. 6 player nationally and is arguably the No. 1 point guard in the 2021 class.
Meanwhile, new 247Sports national analyst Dushawn London has made a pro-Kentucky prediction for four-star forward Bryce Hopkins, the No. 30 overall player in the 2021 composite rankings. Meyer and fellow 247Sports analyst Brian Snow had already made pro-UK picks for Hopkins, a Chicago standout who received a Wildcats scholarship offer in August and is also considering Indiana, Illinois and others.
Hopkins is expected to make a college decision before the early signing period (Nov. 11-18), and his announcement could come as early as this month. Sallis, an Omaha, Neb. standout, has said he’d like to wait until the spring to make a college decision, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him make an announcement in the fall.
