The college basketball recruiting world continues its seemingly nonstop cycle with another weekend headlined by the top prep players in the country gathering for games.

This time, the Nike EYBL circuit (which is the home travel basketball league for most of the nation’s top recruits) will be in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in North Texas for games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Herald-Leader has boots on the ground for all three days of action, which will feature a plethora of prep players being courted by John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats.

An obligatory reminder: UK is still without a commitment in any future recruiting class.

This weekend’s Nike EYBL stop in North Texas is taking place during a recruiting “quiet period.”

During a quiet period, it “is permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts only on the member institution’s campus. No in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts or evaluations may be made.”

So don’t expect to see the likes of Calipari and his coaching staff making in-person evaluations this weekend.

They’ll remain back in Lexington, where work in the NCAA transfer portal is continuing as UK looks to shape its roster for the upcoming season.
