Class of 2024 small forward Amier Ali has been one of the longest-tenured Kentucky recruits in his class, and he remains a potential option for the Cats next year.

Ali, a 6-8 small forward, recently released his top eight schools, with UK making the cut.

A four-star recruit who is ranked as the No. 42 player in the 2024 recruiting class by the 247Sports Composite, Ali is a tough-shot maker who envisions himself as a big guard at the next level.

A recent switch in travel basketball programs on the Nike EYBL circuit from Houston Hoops to The Skill Factory means Ali will have new surroundings for the rest of the spring and summer, while he continues to sort out his college plans.

Some of his “big guard skills” were on display last weekend as Ali played in his first Nike EYBL session with The Skill Factory in North Texas.

The Herald-Leader was also in attendance to watch Ali go head-to-head against another class of 2024 Kentucky recruit, Boogie Fland, in a double-overtime thriller in one of the final games of the session.

Here are some highlights from that game between Ali’s The Skill Factory team and Fland’s PSA Cardinals team at the Southwest Athletic Center in Carrollton, Texas.
