Despite being just a few weeks away from playing competitive basketball games as part of the international GLOBL JAM event in Toronto, the Kentucky men’s basketball roster for next season remains ever changing.

While all seven incoming freshmen for the Wildcats have already arrived in Lexington, the process is still ongoing for the Cats as they attempt to add more players, both young and old, for the 2023-24 season.

This process had a milestone moment occur Monday afternoon, when fifth-year forward Tre Mitchell committed to Kentucky out of the NCAA transfer portal.

All the while, the college basketball landscape has seen a flurry of activity in recent days with entrants into the NCAA transfer portal, a mad scramble as former players try to find pro opportunities following the NBA Draft and suspensions handed out to some of the game’s most recognizable head coaches.
