Bad news for Kentucky basketball recruiting efforts?

For the past few months, many in basketball recruiting circles have been predicting that Jaden Hardy and Skyy Clark -- both five-star guards -- would ultimately commit to Kentucky.

That narrative could be changing.

Rivals.com national analyst Corey Evans, who previously had predictions in for Kentucky for both players, is now picking UCLA for Hardy and North Carolina for Clark.

Hardy -- a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Las Vegas -- is the No. 5 overall player and No. 1 guard in the 2021 class, according to the Rivals.com rankings. He was the first guard in the 2021 class to earn a UK scholarship offer.

Clark -- a 6-3 point guard now living in Nashville -- is the No. 16 overall player in the 2022 class, according to the Rivals.com rankings, and he was the first player to earn a UK scholarship offer since the COVID-19 recruiting shutdown in March. Clark could be a candidate to move to the class of 2021 and play college basketball next season.

Kentucky has one commitment so far for the class of 2021 -- from point guard Nolan Hickman.
