North Laurel junior guard Reed Sheppard delivered again at the King of the Bluegrass tournament in Louisville on Monday night, leading the Jaguars to a 74-66 victory over Dorman (S.C.) and a spot in the championship game of the event.

Sheppard tallied 35 points, nine steals and six assists in Monday’s game, one night after scoring 45 points in a 78-73 victory over North Oldham. Next up for North Laurel will be a matchup with Covington Catholic, the No. 3 team in the state. That title game is set for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fairdale High School.

Sheppard, who committed to Kentucky last month, is a five-star recruit in the 2023 class.
