Reed Sheppard scored 25 points Saturday night to lead North Laurel to a 92-74 victory over Scott County in the Dan Cummins Classic in Georgetown.
Sheppard and North Laurel, ranked No. 6 in the state, improved to 15-4 with the victory and won their fifth game in a row. The Jaguars are the No. 1-ranked team in the 13th Region, positioning themselves to come out of that region in the postseason and make the Sweet Sixteen at Rupp Arena in March.
North Laurel plays at home against Madison Southern on Tuesday night.
