As far as setting the roster for the next Kentucky basketball season, this will be one of the biggest weekends of the offseason. UK is set to host Canadian star Leonard Miller and Illinois State transfer Antonio Reeves, players who have emerged over the past few weeks as two of the Wildcats’ biggest targets for the 2022-23 season.

Miller — a 6-foot-10 wing from the Toronto area — is planning to see UK as he weighs a decision between college and the pros, with the G League and Arizona also on his visit list. Miller is a potential five-star prospect in the 2022 class following a late growth spurt that has turned him into a perimeter-based player with plenty of size and shooting ability. On3.com has already installed him as the No. 11 overall recruit in its 2022 rankings.

Reeves — a 6-6 shooting guard from Chicago — has played the past three years at Illinois State, where he averaged 20.1 points and shot 39.0 percent from three-point range this past season. Kentucky has scouted several shooting guards and wings so far in the transfer portal, but the Herald-Leader was told last weekend that Reeves was emerging as the most likely potential addition out of that group for the Wildcats this offseason. He visited Nebraska a few days ago.

Neither player is expected to publicly commit to the Cats right away this weekend, but both Miller and Reeves will be well worth watching in the coming days and weeks.
