Rivals.com posted its new basketball recruiting rankings for the 2023 class Wednesday, and there were obviously several Kentucky recruits of interest near the top of the list.

North Carolina commitment GG Jackson held the No. 1 spot, with Indianapolis big man Xavier Booker skyrocketing to No. 2, DJ Wagner at No. 3, Justin Edwards at No. 4, and point guard Isaiah Collier rounding out the top five.

Wagner and Edwards are two of Kentucky’s biggest targets, with Louisville and Tennessee, respectively, looking like the Wildcats’ biggest competition for each. Robert Dillingham, perhaps the most likely player to commit to Kentucky next, is No. 6 in the new rankings. Others with UK scholarship offers include: Matas Buzelis (No. 7), Aaron Bradshaw (No. 11), Kwame Evans Jr. (No. 14), Andrej Stojakovic (No. 31) and JJ Taylor (No. 39).

So far, Reed Sheppard is the only Kentucky commitment for 2023, and he’s No. 22 in the new Rivals.com rankings.
