A 19-year-old man was charged Thursday with second-degree arson in connection with a car that was overturned and set on fire Saturday night after the University of Kentucky men's basketball team defeated the University of Louisville in the NCAA Final Four.

Arson investigators arrested Daebrion Hopwood, Lexington fire department spokesman Ed Davis said. Hopwood was lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.

The incident occurred on State Street as people were celebrating the victory.

UK Police Chief Joe Monroe said his department identified Hopwood, found him and took him to UK police headquarters for questioning. Monroe said Hopwood was wearing a hat in a YouTube video of the incident.

Davis said fire investigators think two other people were involved in the incident.

"We're working with Lexington police, as well as Lexington arson investigators, on making more identifications," Monroe said. "What happened the other night was a very serious incident."
