Marion Miley tees off at Lexington Country Club
The 69th annual Marion Miley golf tournament will take place Thursday and Friday at the Lexington Country Club.
Shotgun starts are set for Thursday at 1 p.m., and Friday at 9 a.m.
The championship and junior flights will compete on the Miley Championship Course (approximately 6,100 yards). All other flights will play from the regular forward tees. Maximum handicap for the championship flight will be 6.7. Maximum handicap for other flights will be 18.5.
Abby Smith, a Xavier University standout from Frankfort, is the defending champion.
Also in the field is 2011 winner Megan Moir, a University of Kentucky graduate.
Centre College will be represented by six golfers, including highly touted incoming freshman Eliza Hudson, out of Floyd Central (Ind.) High School.
Anne Combs is a six-time Miley champion and also has won two Miley Cups, for those playing from the ladies tees. She'll be challenged by another two-time Miley Cup winner in Cynthia Powell.
