2025 Boys’ Sweet 16 basketball: Championship day wrap-up from Rupp Arena
The 2025 UK HealthCare Boys’ Basketball Sweet 16 state tournament wrapped up Saturday night in Rupp Arena.
The Great Crossing High School Warhawks defeated Bowling Green 71-61 to win their first boys basketball state championship.
University of Kentucky signee Malachi Moreno led the charge with 24 points and 15 rebounds. The 6-foot-11 Moreno made 10 of his 11 field goal attempts. Vince Dawson III added 18 points, and Gage Richardson had 15.
Kadyn Carpenter topped Bowling Green with 19 points.
