Four Lexington high school golfers earn first-team all-state honors

Henry Clay’s Carson Nicholas, Frederick Douglass’ Willa Borough, Lexington Christian’s Carter Lankford and Lexington Catholic’s Parker Haddix ranked among the boys and girls high school golfers on the 2025 Kentucky Golf Coaches Association All-State Teams this season.

The KGCA recently finalized its All-State first- and second-team selections based on points earned throughout the regular season and postseason and named its Mr. and Miss Golf and coaches of the year.

Marshall County senior Trinity Beth, a senior Georgia commit, earned the fourth Miss Golf award of her illustrious career. She is a two-time KHSAA state tournament champion and finished runner-up at Bowling Green Country Club in this year’s state tournament.

Mr. Golf went to McCracken County senior Landon Hunt, who won this year’s state tournament. Hunt is committed to continuing his golfing career at Murray State.

Among the highlights of Lexington’s first team selections, Henry Clay’s Nicholas, a junior, won the boys State First Round Tournament at Winchester Country Club on Oct. 2 and Lexington Catholic’s Haddix, a seventh grader, won the girls 9th Region Championship at Lakeside Golf Course on Sept. 24.

Lexington Christian’s Matthew Soale was named girls coach of the year. St. Xavier’s Mike Finney was named boys coach of the year.
