See which high school stars made the 2025 Lexington All-City Volleyball Team
Lexington’s nine high school volleyball coaches have selected the 2025 edition of the All-City Volleyball Team.
Lexington Catholic, the two-time 11th Region champion that made a run all the way to the state semifinals last week, led the first team with four honorees. Among them, senior hitter Payton Avilez received the Chris Beerman Senior Award.
Named in honor of the late college coach and longtime club director of Lexington United Volleyball, the Beerman award goes to a senior who excels on the court, in the classroom and in the community.
Also among the first-team honorees was Bryan Station’s Cameron Owens, a senior hitter who received 11th Region player of the year honors last month from the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association.
