Here are the 2026 Lexington All-City boys lacrosse teams and player of the year

The Lexington Herald-Leader and Kentucky.com present the inaugural All-City Boys Lacrosse Teams and Player of the Year as voted on by eight of the nine school coaches of Lexington’s varsity KHSAA programs.

Sayre’s Will Moore earned player of the year honors by garnering the most points among the first team honorees. A senior attacker who scored 75 goals with 18 assists, Moore helped lead the Spartans to the 7th District title to go with a region championship and a state semifinal appearance.

Lexington Catholic attacker Will Carman garnered the next most points in the all-city voting, followed by Moore’s teammate, junior defender Paul Coppedge.

But player of the year votes from the city’s eight coaches were split among five players. Moore got two top nods, as did Frederick Douglass’ Will Hart and Lafayette’s Fisher Hale. Henry Clay’s Max Thayer and Lexington Christian’s Dean Hester each received one.

The first team also included LCA’s Parker Ray and the Broncos’ Landon Davis and Jimmy Hooks. Douglass’ three first-team honorees were the most for any school.

Lexington’s nine varsity boys lacrosse coaches were asked to nominate players for All-City consideration. Later, the coaches ranked, one through 20, their top players from that list of nominees. Former Bryan Station coach Jack Falcon could not be reached, but his players are represented.

Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own players on the final ballot. Selections were made regardless of position and each team was limited to a maximum of five All-City honorees.

Point values were assigned to each voting position (20 points for first-place votes, 19 points for second-place votes, etc.). The accumulation of those points was used to create the first and second Teams each comprising 10 players.
