Traditional Bank Holiday Classic
Consolation bracket
▪ Knott County Central came away with a 67-60 win over Frankfort. Isaac Caudill scored 24, had six steals, five assists and five rebounds for the Patriots. The Panthers had three players — Anthony Robinson, Malik Frank and Devonte Faulkner scored 15 points apiece. Robinson finished with 15 rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block.
Gateway Holiday Classic (boys)
▪ Muhlenberg County dropped the hammer on Ballard Memorial, using a 57-26 advantage over the second and third periods to win 99-58 in the consolation bracket. Five players finished in double-figure scoring for the Mustangs, led by Clayton Stovall’s 23. Zach Parsons led the Bombers with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Gateway Holiday Classic (girls)
▪ Kennedy Igo, an eighth grader, had 20 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals to lift Montgomery County to its first win, 47-41 over Rockcastle County, in its home tournament. Hope Kelley led the Rockets with 16 points.
South Central Bank-Halton Classic (girls)
▪ Presley Brown finished with 16 points, 11 boards, two blocks and two steals in LaRue County’s 61-41 loss to Macon County (Tenn.) in the consolation round.
