High School Basketball

Cantrall’s ratings: Top three teams change in boys’ top 25 (Jan. 31)

There were plenty of changes near the top of this week’s top 25 in Dave Cantrall’s Rating the State for boys’ basketball in Kentucky.

Bowling Green jumped from third to No. 1. Covington Catholic, tied for fourth last week, is now second. Lexington Catholic, which didn’t play last week because of a pause for COVID, dropped two spots to third.

Clark County remained fourth while Elizabethtown fell from second to fifth.

New to the top 10 this week was Dixie Heights, up from 24th to eighth.

Note: Teams that are not included this week have not yet played or there is not enough data for a rating.
