Cantrall’s ratings: Another shakeup in this week’s boys’ top 10 (March 7)

Covington Catholic defeated the previous No. 1 team, Elizabethtown, 79-62 on Saturday and took over the top spot this week in Dave Cantrall’s Rating the State for boys’ high school basketball in Kentucky. Elizabethtown dropped to fourth.

Lexington Catholic suffered its first loss of the season on Friday to Paul Laurence Dunbar but still managed to hold on to the second spot. Meanwhile, previously undefeated North Laurel lost twice this past week, to Ashland Blazer and Lexington Catholic, and dropped to No. 17 in the ratings.

St. Henry, which won the All “A” Classic championship this past week, is No. 5.
