Harlan girls basketball coach indicted after complaints of recording device in locker room

A longtime girls basketball coach for the Harlan County School System has been indicted on multiple charges including attempting to promote a sexual performance by a minor younger than 16. Anthony Nolan, 41, of Harlan, was arrested Tuesday by Harlan County Sheriff’s Deputy Mitch Alford.

Harlan County Sheriff Marvin J. Lipfird said the indictment is the result of an investigation of complaints concerning Nolan. "The sheriff's office began an investigation over some complaints that alleged Mr. Nolan was hiding a recording device in the girls locker room and recording individuals in the locker room," Lipfird said.

WKYT reported that Nolan was a Harlan County High School coach and English teacher.
