Week 3 of the Kentucky high school football season continues Friday night.

Where we’ll be

  • Digital sports writer Jared Peck (@HLpreps) and photographer Alex Slitz (@AlexSlitzPhoto) head to Henry Clay as the Blue Devils host the defending Class A state champion Pikeville Panthers.

  • UK football beat writer Josh Moore (@JoshMooreHL) heads to Bourbon County where the Colonels host Ashland Blazer.

  • Photographer Arden Barnes (@arden_barnes) heads to Sayre to capture the the small-school clash between the Spartans and Trimble County.

COVID-19 changes

Unfortunately, some games this week were canceled or changed due to coronavirus concerns. They include:

  • Frederick Douglass at Scott County. Postponed. Scott County will host Clark County instead. Douglass travels to Ballard for an 11 a.m. Saturday kickoff.
  • Great Crossing at Paul Laurence Dunbar. Canceled. Great Crossing will instead host Shelby County on Saturday.
  • Games involving Caverna, Franklin County, Woodford County, Estill County, Knott County Central and Central Hardin.
