'Desert' crowds on par with previous exhibits
A Gift From the Desert, the new exhibit at the International Museum of the Horse at the Kentucky Horse Park, has been drawing lots of visitors.
Museum director Bill Cooke said that during the first week, about 400 people walked through the exhibit each day.
That is similar to attendance for the museum's previous blockbuster horse-related exhibits on China and Great Britain, Cooke said.
A Gift From the Desert, which showcases the contributions of Arabs and the Arabian horse, will run through Oct. 15. For more information on the exhibit, hours and admission, go to www.kyhorsepark.com.
