SI cover, WSJ video highlight American Pharoah's Triple Crown triumph
The accolades continued to roll in Tuesday for American Pharoah, horse racing's first Triple Crown winner in 37 years.
Sports Illustrated announced that the Bob Baffert-trained champion will grace the cover of this week's magazine. Pharoah's appearance marks a rare spotlight for the sport of horse racing, which has not claimed an SI cover since 50-1 shot Mine That Bird won the Kentucky Derby in 2009.
Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal produced an intriguing video that pairs American Pharoah's Belmont Stakes victory side by side with Secretariat's "tremendous machine" Belmont of 1973.
