Lexington Legends outfielder Anderson Miller will be out for several weeks due to surgery to remove the hamate bone from his right wrist.

The surgery will be done in Kansas City, home of the Legends’ parent organization, the Royals.

Miller has been placed on the disabled list and has been replaced on the Legends roster by outfielder Tanner Stanley. Miller is expected to return at or near the South Atlantic League All-Star break, which is June 20-22.

Miller, a graduate of Lafayette High School who played in college for Western Kentucky University, was chosen in the third round of the 2015 draft by the Royals. He is the first Lexington native to play for the Legends.

Miller is batting .220 on the season, with nine hits and four RBI through 11 games played.
