College football on television: Sept. 24

The legendary Brent Musburger will be at Commonwealth Stadium on Saturday night along with the SEC Network crew of Jesse Palmer and Kaylee Hartung for Kentucky (1-2 overall/0-1 in the SEC) vs. South Carolina (2-1/1-1). Kickoff is set for 7:30.

We will be blogging live Saturday night as UK coach Mark Stoops tries to extend his winning streak over the Gamecocks to three straight. Meanwhile, new South Carolina coach Will Muschamp was 4-0 against the Cats when he was the head coach at Florida (2011-14).

UK-South Carolina is one of a host of key conference matchups on the tube Saturday. ESPN has Georgia (3-0/1-0) at Ole Miss (1-2/0-1) for a noon kickoff. CBS has Florida (3-0/1-0) and Tennessee (3-0/0-0) at 3:30 p.m. ESPN has LSU (2-1/1-0) vs. Auburn (1-2/0-1) at 6 p.m. followed by Arkansas (3-0/0-0) and Texas A&M (3-0/1-0) from Arlington, Texas at 9 p.m.

Western Kentucky (2-1) plays host to SEC member Vanderbilt (1-2) at 4 p.m. on the CBS Sports Network. Western clipped the Commodores 14-12 in Nashville last season.

As for the primetime games, Fox has Oklahoma State (2-1) vs. Baylor (3-0) in a Big 12 showdown at 7:30 p.m. ABC has Stanford (2-0) vs. UCLA (2-1) at 8 p.m.

Or you may want to click over to the CBS Sports Network at 8 p.m. and watch No. 3 Louisville travel to Marshall. The Cards will try to avoid a letdown after whipping Florida State 63-20 last week. Bobby Petrino’s team has a huge game at Clemson next week.
