For the first time, the SEC topped the Big 12 in the annual Challenge between the two conferences, winning six and losing four.

SEC wins:

▪ Kentucky rallied from 17 points down to win 83-76 at West Virginia. Kevin Knox’s 34 points sparked the comeback.

▪ Florida rolled over visiting Baylor 80-61. Chris Chiozza scored 20 points and dished six assists for the Gators.

▪ Alabama knocked off No. 12 Oklahoma in Tuscaloosa. Bama’s Collin Sexton (18 points) outdueled Oklahoma’s Trae Young (17).

▪ No. 22 Tennessee crushed host Iowa State 68-45. Lamonte Turner scored 20 points off the bench for the Vols.

▪ Vanderbilt upset visiting TCU 81-78. Riley LaChance scored 24 points and Jeff Roberson added 20 for the Commodores, who play at UK on Tuesday.

▪ Arkansas edged visiting Oklahoma State 66-65. Freshman center Daniel Gafford’s tip-in with 16.2 seconds left proved the difference for the Razorbacks.

Big 12 wins:

▪ Kansas beat visiting Texas A&M 79-68. Svi Mykhailiuk led the way with 24 points for the Jayhawks.

▪ No. 14 Texas Tech won 70-63 at South Carolina. Keenan Evans scored 31 points for the Red Raiders.

▪ Texas handled visiting Ole Miss 85-72. The Rebels had no answer for Texas’ Mohamed Bamba, who scored 25 points and grabbed 15 rebounds.

▪ Kansas State beat visiting Georgia 56-51. Georgia has lost three straight and five of its last six.

Conference play

▪ First-place Auburn drilled visiting LSU 95-70. The winning Tigers made 14 of 32 three-pointers.

▪ Mississippi State beat visiting Missouri 74-62. Quinndary Weatherspoon scored 20 points for the Bulldogs.
