The podcast is back.

After a summer hiatus, we are back in the podcast business, which will continue throughout the University of Kentucky football and basketball seasons.

First out of the gate is a football podcast I did with Herald-Leader UK football beat writer Jennifer Smith. With training camp unofficially wrapping up on Tuesday, we talked about a variety of topics. We discussed how camp has gone, what the quarterbacks have looked like, names that have been mentioned as having standout camps — running back A.J. Rose (see above) among them — and question marks heading into game week.

The Cats open the season Sept. 1 against Central Michigan at Kroger Field. Also included in the podcast is head coach Mark Stoops’ question-and-answer session with the media after Tuesday’s practice.

You can find Herald-Leader podcasts on Soundcloud and Apple podcasts. Please send any feedack to jclay@herald-leader.com. Thanks for listening.
