College basketball games on TV for Saturday (March 7)

Ian Eagle and Jim Spanarkel will be on the call Saturday as CBS broadcasts Kentucky vs. Florida at 1 p.m. from the O’Connell Center in Gainesville.

No. 6 Kentucky has already clinched the SEC title, but the Wildcats took an embarrassing spill on Tuesday, blowing a 17-point second-half lead and losing at home to Tennessee, 81-73. Florida is coming off a 68-54 win at Georgia on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, No. 10 Louisville can clinch at least a tie for the ACC title if they can knock off No. 22 Virginia in Charlottesville. That’s a 4 p.m. start on ESPN. Louisville is 15-4 in league play, but Virginia has won seven straight games. The Cavaliers’ last loss came at Louisville, 80-73 on Feb. 8.

The only other matchup between ranked teams has No. 8 Seton Hall at No. 11 Creighton for a 2:30 p.m. tip-off on Fox. Seton Hall leads the Big East with a 13-4 mark. Creighton and Villanova are tied for second at 12-5.

A couple of NCAA Tournament automatic bids will be decided Saturday. Utah State plays San Diego State in the Mountain West Conference Tournament at 5:30 p.m. on CBS. Murray State plays Belmont in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament finals at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
