‘CBS This Morning’ pays tribute to Karl-Anthony Towns’ mother

On “CBS This Morning,” Anthony Mason did a remembrance piece Friday on lives taken by COVID-19.

Among those whom Mason paid tribute to was Jacqueline Cruz-Towns, the mother of former University of Kentucky basketball star Karl-Anthony Towns, now of the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves. She passed away Monday, April 13, after more than a month fighting the coronavirus.
