Guess who was on a UK basketball Zoom call: Rick Pitino

On his Twitter account Wednesday, former Kentucky basketball player Cameron Mills hinted at something interesting.

Mills showed a screenshot of a Zoom call featuring several players and coaches from UK’s 1996-98 run of two national titles and one NCAA runner-up finish.

Among those on the Zoom call was none other than Rick Pitino.

“So this was my evening,” Mills tweeted. “Zooming with a bunch of has beens talking about how good we all were back before we were has beens. Call included about 20 players from 96-98 team, Coach Smith, Coach Pitino and @UKMitchBarnhart. Reason for the call will be shared in next few days. #BBN”

No indication of the purpose of the Zoom call or if this means the ice may be finally thawing between Pitino and UK.

Stay tuned.
