SEC football information directors make 2020 season projections

Let’s just assume there will be a 2020 college football season.

Where will Kentucky finish in the SEC East?

Fifth — says the conference’s football information directors.

For the 74th consecutive year, the good folks at AL.com, aka the Birmingham News, conducted its poll of SIDs for their projections on the upcoming season.

The 14 football information directors made Alabama the pick to win the conference. In the overall voting, Alabama earned 12 first-place votes and 168 points overall. Georgia was second with 149, followed by Florida and LSU with 139 points.

The information directors were not allowed to vote for their own school.

In divisional voting, limited to that division’s football information directors, Georgia was the pick to win the East, followed by Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, Kentucky, Missouri and Vanderbilt.

LSU was picked to finish second behind Alabama in the West. Auburn was picked third, followed by Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Arkansas.

Kentucky’s West Division opponents for 2020 are Auburn (road) and Mississippi State (home).
