SEC links: Florida begins a tough four-game stretch with No. 5 Kentucky

Alabama Coach Nate Oats says Arkansas’ JD Notae is playing as well as anyone in the SEC. The two teams play at noon Saturday in Tuscaloosa. The SEC Network has the telecast. Notae is averaging 19.1 points per game. He scored 27 points in the Razorbacks’ 80-76 overtime win over Auburn.

Energy is vital for Texas A&M at No. 1-ranked Auburn on Saturday. The Aggies have lost seven straight games, including four straight at home.

Vanderbilt basketball heads to Tennessee with a lot on the line. Vandy is 13-10 overall and 5-6 in the SEC. Jerry Stackhouse’s Commodores have won three of their last four games.

Tennessee will experience plenty of tournament-like atmospheres in stretch run. The Tennessee-Vanderbilt game is a 6 p.m. start on the SEC Network.

South Carolina’s near-miss against Kentucky embodies frustrating season for the Gamecocks. South Carolina is at Georgia in a 2 p.m. game Saturday on the SEC Network.

LSU focusing on areas of deficiencies as the Tigers prepare to play Mississippi State on Saturday. ESPN2 has the 8 p.m. telecast.

Missouri ready to meet up with Ole Miss again. Missouri romped in the first meeting between the teams, winning 78-53 in Oxford on Jan. 23. The SEC Network has the 8:30 p.m. rematch.

Auburn football coach Bryan Harsin keeps his job, but the outlook is not positive on the plains.

Bengals kicker Evan McPherson got his start in a small Alabama town.
