Kentucky reports another minor violation involving Drake, reports Jerry Tipton and Ben Roberts of the Herald-Leader. The violation apparently involved Tyler Ulis posting a picture of himself with Drake at a party after a concert.

Alabama will need a complete game against Kentucky, writes Cecil Hurt of the Tuscaloosa News. “We have to rebound the basketball,” said Alabama coach Avery Johnson. “Ole Miss was fourth in our league, in terms of offensive rebounding efficiency. Kentucky is number one. We can’t give teams second shots. That’s a big point of emphasis for us. We have to make sure we box-out (and) get that rebound. That will give us a chance to get in transition and run.”

UK needs its now-and-then guys every day, reports Jerry Tipton of the Herald-Leader. Marcus Lee and Alex Poythress, who were either reserves or role players in the past, are both adjusting to being counted on for production every game.

Alabama readies for a tough UK test, reports Gene DeWalt of the Montgomery Advertiser. The Tide is coming off a 74-66 loss at Ole Miss on Thursday night in which Alabama had an eight-point lead at halftime.

John Calipari says he should get the blame, reports Tipton. The coach tells unhappy fan to stop putting pressure on his players and put the pressure on the coach.

Kentucky’s big men are highly-motivated, reports Kyle Tucker of the Courier-Journal. The Cats got little from their big men in Tuesday’s 85-67 loss at LSU.

Mychal Mulder made the most of his opportunity at LSU, reports the Courier-Journal. The junior college transfer came off the bench to score five points and grab eight rebounds.

Georgia’s Charles Mann looking to build on strong performance, reports Jason Butt of the Macon Telegraph.

Backup Cincinnati quarterback transferring to UK, reports Ben Roberts of the Herald-Leader. Luke Wright, who came to UC as a walk-on, will sit out 2016 and be eligibile in 2017. He played in four games for the Bearcats last season.

Kentucky trio ready to represent UK in Army Bowl, reports Josh Moore of the Herald-Leader. “Kash Daniel, Drake Jackson and Landon Young have one more high school football game to play before suiting up for the University of Kentucky this fall.”

Texas A&M hired Noel Mazzone as its offensive coordinator, reports the AP. The veteran Mazzone is the Aggies’ fourth offensive coordinator in the last five seasons.

Tennessee is searching for a new defensive coordinator, reports Dustin Dopirak of the Knoxville News-Sentinel. Head coach Butch Jones parted ways with defensive coordiantor John Jancek this week.
