There are plenty of college basketball games on television for Wednesday night, but not sure any of them deserve top-tier billing.

No. 3 Villanova plys host to a Creighton team that is 14-8 overall and 5-4 in the Big East. Villanova is 8-1 in league play. The CBS Sports Network has that 8 p.m. tip.

No. 4 Maryland, which is 8-2 in the Big 10, travels to Nebraska, which is just 12-10 overall and 4-5 in the conference. The Big 10 Network has that game at 8:30 p.m.

No. 5 Iowa is at home to face a Penn State team that is 11-11 overall and 2-7 in the Big 10. The Hawkeyes are 8-1 in conference play. ESPNU has the 7 p.m. tipoff.

No. 6 Xavier plays host to a St. John’s team that is 7-15 overall and 0-9 in the Big East. Fox Sports has the 6:30 p.m. tipoff.

And No. 7 Kansas, which beat Kentucky 90-84 in overtime last Saturday, is back in Allen Fieldhouse to play arch-rival Kansas State. The visiting Wildcats are 2-6 in the Big 12. Kansas is 5-3. ESPN2 has the 9 p.m. tip.
