College basketball on television: Eastern Kentucky at Morehead State on CBS Sports Network

The CBS Sports Network has Thursday night’s Eastern Kentucky-Morehead State rivalry game, 7 p.m. at Ellis T. Johnson Arena in Morehead.

Eastern Kentucky is 5-6 overall and 5-6 in the OVC. The Colonels are coming off an impressive road trip where they beat Tennessee State 97-81, then became the first OVC team to beat Belmont at home since the Bruins joined the conference in 2012-13. EKU won 88-78.

Morehead State is 12-11 overall and 6-5 in the OVC. The Eagles will be trying to snap a two-game losing streak after losses at Belmont (73-67) and Tennessee State (77-76). Corban Collins, a 6-foot-3 junior, leads Sean Woods’ team in scoring at 12.4 points per game.

EKU and Morehead played back on Jan. 30 with Morehead winning 70-67 in Richmond. Xavier Moon scored 14 points and DeJuan Marrero scored 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Eagles in that one.

On the national scene, the biggest game Thursday night is probably No. 4 Iowa at Indiana, 9 p.m. on ESPN. Iowa leads the Big 10 with a 10-1 mark. Maryland is second at 10-2. The comes Indiana at 9-2. The Hoosiers are coming off a surprise 68-63 loss at Penn State.
