Lee, who averaged 6.4 points and six rebounds a game last season, attended the NBA Draft Combine before withdrawing his name from the draft pool and announcing his plans to transfer. The California native said he wanted to be closer to home. He will sit out next season before being eligible for the 2017-18 campaign.
As a freshman out of Chicago, Matthews played in all 36 games, averaging 1.7 points and 1.6 rebounds. He announced May 18 that he planned to transfer.
