As we know, Kentucky football has been preparing for its 2016 season in a new training facility, complete with a new locker room.

Turns out, UK’s first opponent is also in new digs. Southern Miss recently opened a new locker room to rave reviews from the Golden Eagles.

Remember, Southern Miss is coming off a 9-5 season in which it reached the C-USA championship game where it lost to Western Kentucky. The Golden Eagles lost its bowl game to Washington and its head coach in Todd Monken.

Jay Hopson is the new Southern Miss head coach. And the Eagles return highly-regarded quarterback Nick Mullens. And as we know, USM has a new offensive coordinator in Shannon Dawson, who just happened to be UK’s offensive coordinator a year ago.
