College football on television: Sept. 1
It might technically considered a day early, but Thursday kicks off what is a great opening weekend of college football.
Among the Thursday night games on television, Louisville opens its season against Charlotte; Western Kentucky breaks in a new quarterback against Rice; Tennessee starts a season of lofty expectations against Appalachian State and Will Muschamp makes his South Carolina coaching debut at Vanderbilt.
