Lextran will offer free bus rides Tuesday to people who are going to vote in Lexington. Polls are open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Six candidates are contending in a competitive Democratic primary for the opportunity to challenge U.S. Rep. Andy Barr, R-Lexington, in November's election.

Meanwhile, seven candidates for Lexington mayor are vying for the top two spots in the upcoming general election.

Democratic Secretary of State Alison Lundgeran Grimes said she expects a 30 percent statewide voter turnout Tuesday.
