Lexington police sergeant indicted on rape charge
A Lexington police sergeant has been indicted on one count of first-degree rape, according to the Lexington Police Department.
According to Lexington police, a complaint was filed against Sgt. Christopher Morrow, 39, in May and the case was investigated by Kentucky State Police. In accordance with department policy, Morrow was suspended with pay during the investigation.
When a Fayette County grand jury indicted Morrow on Monday, he was arrested and suspended from the Lexington Police Department without pay, according to the department.
He is being held in the Fayette County jail and his bond is set at $10,000, according to the jail website.
