Same man suspected in two Lexington bank robberies
Lexington police are asking for help in location Kelly Ellsworth Cox suspected in two bank robberies within week.
According a press release, a man matching Cox’s description told a teller at the Fifth-Third Bank, 2225 Versailles Road, that he had a gun and demanded cash. The teller complied.
The suspect was a white man in his 30s wearing gray sweats, black T-shirt, UK Blue hat, He also had a neck tattoo and goatee.
Police said surveillance images from the Saturday robbery match those of Cox from a robbery on July 20 at Forcht Bank, 506 West New Circle Road.
