ESPN features Lafayette quarterback Walker Wood on rundown of Top 10 plays
Lafayette quarterback — and UK football commitment — Walker Wood got a little national airtime Sunday as part of ESPN SportsCenter’s Top 10 plays rundown.
Wood ran for 188 yards and four touchdowns (and threw for two more TDs) in the Generals’ 47-21 victory over Boyle County late Saturday night.
The highlight of the night was Wood’s meandering, 63-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Wood bobbled the snap and then eluded several would-be tacklers before eventually coasting into the end zone.
ESPN placed the video (which was shot by local outlet PrepSpin.com) at No. 6 in its Top 10 list.
