Girls’ soccer: Dunbar beats Bryan Station

Paul Laurence Dunbar extended its win streak to four games with a 1-0 victory over Bryan Station at home on Wednesday.

Merin Roach scored the game-winning goal in the 72nd minute for the Bulldogs, who have shut out every opponent during the four-game streak.

Bryan Station dropped its second straight 1-0 finish after a four-game stretch in which it didn’t allow a goal, won three games and played Danville to a draw.

The Defenders (5-4) visit Garrard County on Thursday and go to Boyd County on Saturday. They’ll finish a four-game road trip with a trip to Model next Thursday.

Dunbar (6-3) hosts Father Ryan (Tenn.) in a rare Sunday tilt this weekend. The Bulldogs go to Oldham County on Tuesday before coming home next Thursday for a big battle with West Jessamine.
