Covington Catholic’s CJ Fredrick (1) pushed the ball up the court against Lexington Catholic on Nov. 29, 2017.

Scott County’s boys didn’t lose a game this past week, but that didn’t keep them from dropping in this week’s edition of Dave Cantrall’s Rating the State for high school basketball in Kentucky.

The Cardinals’ two wins since the last rankings included a close call against Woodford County, 60-56, and a rout of Floyd Central, 77-52.

Covington Catholic, meanwhile, rolled to victories against Roger Bacon (Cincinnati), Dixie Heights and Boyle County.

Madison Central also managed to move past Scott County after blowout wins against Lexington Catholic and Franklin County.
